Hey, I am Nina Fava, a nutritionist and health coach on a mission to help women reclaim their satiny around food and nourish their bodies while enjoying life.

Let me explain!

According to researches, up to 50 percent of women in the world are right now on a diet trying to lose weight and 35 percent of people who start dieting occasionally become addicted to it.

On my practice, I've seen so many women stuck in a cycle of restricting foods, getting deprived, having deep cravings, bingeing, getting frustrated, felling guilty and then, guess what? Starting to restrict again...

This is definitely not the way of living life fully, and that is why I decided to step in the challenge of breaking women free from the diet mentality and food obsession.

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME

BACKGROUND

I am a food passionate person, graduated in Food Engineering, post graduate in Food, Nutrition and Health at UCD and a certified Nutrition and Health Coach by IINH. It’s been a long journey so far, almost 15 years, and I am happy to say that I’ve found my purpose along the way. My biggest goal and motivation in life is to help people change their relationship with food, learn to listen and respect their bodies and to create healthy and sustainable habits for life.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Well, let me quickly tell you my story. I was a very skinny and active child and eating was definitely not my thing. But as I grew up, the environment and society began to influence my eating habits: I started to share meals with friends, go to restaurants, cultivate the love for sweets, and somehow eating large portions of food till feeling stuffed seemed the right thing to do. But it was only when I had my first experience living abroad that I found in food a way to cope with emotions (loads involved in this case). Didn't take long for me to put on weight, get ashamed of my body and fall in the diet trap. There I was, exactly on the vicious cycle of restricting, losing weight, feeling deprived, craving the forbidden foods, bingeing and putting the weight back on. I was feeling an absolute failure, I knew dieting was not the solution and I had to find a way to get out of that situation. So I started my own self discovery/acceptance journey while studying to have the science-based knowledge to help others. And here I am now: recovered from my emotional eating, reconnected with my body and ready to help you on your path to food freedom.
